How does it work?

Super easy! Pick your favorite from over 200+ pieces of paintable pottery. Select glaze colors—we can show you how to use them and can assist with bringing your ideas together. Then, paint! When you’re done, leave the painted piece with us. We’ll add a clear coat and fire it in our kiln.

How long until I can get my piece back?

About 1-2 weeks. We will notify you via text when it is ready for pick-up.

Do I need a reservation?

No! We not only welcome walk-ins, we encourage them! However, we recommend calling ahead for groups of 5 or more. A reservation may be required for larger groups, especially on weekends when we are usually busier.

How do I make a reservation?

Is it safe to eat off my finished pottery?

Yes! Finished pieces are food safe. Our glazes are non-toxic and safe enough for even those precious newborn hand and footprint gift. Bonus? The water-based glazes don’t stain and easily wash out of clothing!

Is my piece dishwasher & microwave safe?

Yes. However, it isn't recommended. For the longevity of your piece, limited exposure to microwaves and dishwashers is advise

Do I have to know how to paint?

Not at all! If you’d like, we can show you some tips and tricks to getting started. Plus, with staff on-site, we available to assist along the way. You bring your imagination. We’ll provide the tools and advice to help complete your vision.

How do I fix a mistake?

Our helpful staff is available for hands-on help or instruction on how to correct mistakes independently.

How much does it cost?

Pieces come in a range of prices. Each price includes glazes, firing, and studio time. So, use as many colors as you like and stay as long as you want!

What if I don’t finish my piece on my first visit?

We’ll see you again soon! Just let us know before leaving the shop. We’ll keep your work-in-progress safe and ready for your next visit.

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely! ARTifact is a family-friendly space! Come make hand and footprint gifts with your newborn. Get the littles out for an hour or two of screen-free crafting. Or let us host your budding artist’s next birthday, we’ll even handle the clean-up!
